Clint Curtis speaking with Shasta County voters about election participation

Clint Curtis believes that elections are strongest when the entire community is involved. As County Clerk, he will foster a culture where poll workers, observers, and voters are all respected and valued. Clint understands that building trust in our elections starts with inclusive participation and mutual accountability.

Why election participation Matters

When people feel excluded from the electoral process, trust erodes and the potential for cheating arises. Clint Curtis aims to change that by opening the process, encouraging participation, and creating a shared sense of responsibility. By involving the community, he believes we can strengthen the integrity of our elections.

Clint’s Plan to Lead with Respect and Openness

  • Invite the Public In

Clint will welcome trained observers, encourage community involvement, and ensure that everyone who wants to help—within the law—is respected. He is developing an observation area to welcome everyone to watch the entire process. No training necessary.

  • Value Every Role

Elections don’t happen without people. Clint will recognize and support volunteers, poll workers, observers, and staff, helping the public understand the vital work that goes into the process.

  • Build a Culture of Accountability

Respect goes both ways. Clint will create systems that allow the public to hold the office accountable while also building understanding of the efforts election staff make to protect the vote.

A Clerk’s Office That Serves the People

Clint Curtis will ensure:

  • The community is included in the election process

  • Observers and poll workers are trained and appreciated

  • Staff are accountable to the public—and respected by them

  • The Clerk’s office is open, responsive, and led with integrity

Clint sees elections not just as systems but as shared civic efforts.
